Dr Nick Nicola
Nick graduated from Monash University in 1989 and has worked in general practice since 1993, gaining his Fellowship in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1995.
Nick has worked in a number of hospital positions during his earlier years and has developed a keen interest in paediatrics, post natal care, including post natal depression and travel medicine. He also has an interest sexual health care, having worked at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre for 10 years and has trained in insertion of Implanon contraceptive implants.
Outside of work, Nick is kept busy with his family which includes his wife and 4 children, enjoys long walks with the family dog and travel.
Nick is also fluent in Greek.

Koshala completed his medical degree in Sri Lanka, moving to the UK and qualifying in general practice with previous experience in surgery and emergency medicine.
He currently enjoys working in general practice, but has a special interest in minor surgical procedures, skin cancer surgery and skin cancer checks.
In his spare time, Koshala enjoys listening to music, watching cricket and spending time with his wife and children.
Koshala is also fluent in Sinhalese.
Benedict (Ben) Burke graduated with Honours from Monash University in 1994. He commenced work at Aspendale Gardens Medical Centre in 1997. He gained his Fellowship in The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2002. He is interested in all aspects of General Practice and is a registered railways medical examiner.
Outside of work Ben is active in local sporting clubs and has enjoyed coaching junior football and cricket, as well as ongoing involvement with Auskick as a volunteer coach. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and hopes to see St Kilda win a grand final in his lifetime.
Azra completed her medical degree in 2000 and has an interest in family medicine, as well as all aspects of women’s health including contraception, hormone replacement therapy, screening for cervical and breast cancer, paediatric and adolescent health care, as well as travel medicine and travel vaccinations including Yellow Fever vaccination.
Azra is married and has 2 children. Her interests include spending time with her family, cooking, travel and reading. She is involved with overseas volunteer work annually where she works in a remote village and funds projects with missions related to managing chronic medical conditions in the community.
Azra is fluent in Hindi.
David graduated from Monash University before working in general medicine and emergency.
He has an interest in geriatric and chronic health but loves the variety of general practice.
Away from work, David watches far too much soccer.
Sanil completed his rural general practice training in South Australia and Victoria. He enjoys all facets of general practice including sexual health, chronic disease management and Integrative Medicine
Prior to this he has worked in various Intensive care departments across Melbourne. He completed his medical training in India and trained in Anaesthetics in the United Kingdom. He enjoys running and is an active participant of the weekly park runs.
Sanil supports his patients holistically to unravel the root cause of the disease and implement life style changes as required.
